Honours application to Postgraduate Studies

A person who wishes to be admitted as a student for the degree shall lodge his or her application in writing with the Registrar, submitting evidence of his or her academic and general qualifications.


ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION AS A STUDENT FOR THE DEGREE

Either of the following may be admitted as a student by Senate under such conditions as it may determine, if it is satisfied that he or she is qualified and able to undertake the degree:

  • the holder of a four-year teaching degree (BEd),
  • the holder of a three-year degree, plus a fourth-year level teaching qualification, namely, the PGCE,


Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy

St Augustine does recognise prior learning and will evaluate each application on its merit.  Please contact the postgraduate registrar’s office on 011 380 90   or email c.thorn@staugustine.ac.za to determine if you qualify for any recognition of prior learning.
